William Powell

William Lynn Powell, Sr., 62, of Bridgman went to be with our heavenly Father on Thursday, April 22, 2010.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, April 26 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman with Pastor Chris Peddie officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Three Oaks. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday from 2-5 PM at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given for the needs of the family.

Bill was born June 6, 1947 in Middletown, Ohio the son of the late James and Mabel (Lawson) Powell. Bill was greatly adored by everyone who knew him. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family and friends. He was a dedicated employee of Blossomland Containers.

On Dec. 21, 2001 he married the former Virginia (Jackson) Powell and she survives along with two children – Jill (Nick) Suszynski of Tampa, Florida, and William Powell Jr. of Chicago; three stepdaughters – Amanda Dipert of Baroda, Anastasia Baker and Jamie Johnston both of Bridgman and nine grandchildren.

Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all.
