William Krause Sr. of Stevensville, Michigan went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 28, 2024 with his loving family by his side.
William Krause was born on August 30, 1932 to the late Carl and Olive (Shinn) Krause of Benton Harbor, Michigan. He was drafted in the Army in 1953 serving in the Korean War, returned home working at Kaywoods as a cutter grinder from which he retired. He enjoyed his family and neighbors along with working in his yard and tinkering in his garage. One of his pleasures was the family cat, Sissy. He was truly an inspiration to his family and all that knew him.
His greatest joy was his loving wife “Von” Lavonne E. Krause (Brant) of 68 years; their son, William Krause Jr. of Bridgman, Michigan; and his God-daughter, Jennifer Soltesz and her husband and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by brothers: Warren, Carl, Fred, and Don Krause; sisters: Lillian Krause, Gladys Boyd, Violet, and daughter-in-law: Mary Beth Krause.
The family sends a special thank you to all the hospice workers and private duty caregivers.
Per his request, cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held for the immediate family at a later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman.
