Warren "Butch" Lee Ott

“Butch” Lee Ott, 76, of Bridgman passed away peacefully on March 21, 2023 at his home in the care of his family.  

A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family from 5-7 PM on Friday, March 24 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Butch was born on July 6, 1946 in Benton Harbor, the son of the late Alvin and Wilma (Schmidt) Ott. On August 12, 1991 he married Helyn Garrison and she preceded him in death in 2009. Butch was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Bridgman American Legion, Post 331. He worked for Fred M. Ott & Sons Excavating for 15 years and also for Bridgman Public Schools from 1990-2009. Butch was a Boy Scout Co-Leader and also enjoyed drag racing.

Butch is survived by his children: Danita Scrima and Daniel Leoni; step-son: Hunter Garrison Bridwell; granddaughters: Sarah and Rebecca; great grandson: Elijah Scrima; siblings: James Ott, Jill (Ted) Lesauskis, and Joy (Rich) Mathieu; and a dear friend: Marsha Mullins.  

Butch was also preceded in death by his brother: Alan Ott and a nephew: Trenton Lesauskis.
