Tony Ray Tyler, 54 of New Troy went to be with his Lord, surrounded by his family on Monday, December 19, 2011 at his home.

A memorial service will be held 6:30 PM Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9650 Church Street, Bridgman with Reverend Jon Bendewald officiating. Final resting place will be in New Troy Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given toward the needs of the family or Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Tony was born February 11, 1957 in Rockford, Illinois the son of Ray J. and Ethel Mae (Lange) Tyler. On September 6, 2006 he married Michelle Marie Lyne. For most of Tony’s life he was a truck driver for Interstate Auto, and for the last ten years worked for S.L. Walters Electric in Michiana Shores, Indiana. Tony was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife - Michelle; his four children - Darick Tyler of St. Joseph, Sarah (George Helmuth) Tyler of Galien, Rachel (Daniel Lash) Tyler of Bridgman and Hannah Tyler at home; a step son - Alexander Urbanski also at home; four grandchildren - George, Haley and Logan Helmuth, Kielynn Tyler and an expected little one on the way; two brothers - John (Lori) Turnbow and and Ken (Lisa) Tyler both of Sawyer; a sister - Dixie (Rex) Schrader of Three Oaks.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents and a step father, John Turnbow and will be laid to rest next to his mother in New Troy.
