Theresa Hanson

Theresa Francis Hanson, 77 of Bridgman passed away at her home on Friday, August 31, 2012 in the care of her family.

Funeral Service will be held 3 PM Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman with Father Arthur Howard officiating. Friends may meet with the family Wednesday from 2 - 3 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman.

Theresa was born Sept. 15, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of the late Charles and Josephine (Wagner) Mehegan. On July 28, 1956 she married Arthur H. Hanson, Sr. and he preceded her in death on June 4, 2006. Theresa was a loving mother and Grammie who enjoyed garage sales and tending her flower gardens.

Survivors include three daughters - Marilyn Wolstenholme of Bridgman, Kathleen (Chuck) Fulstrom of Indiana, Laura (Andrew) Adkin of Baroda; two sons - Clifford (JoAnn) Purnell of Shereville, Indiana, Art Hanson Jr. Of Bridgman; 10 grandchildren - Babette, Amy, Cliff Jr., Zachary, Philip, Ryan, Allyssa, Lindsay, Jeri and John; 11 great grandchildren - Taylor, Tray, Jennifer, Nichole, Jimmy, Mandy, Chelsie, Caleb, Olivia, Aubree and Philip Jr.; sisters - Lenora Matiasek of Wisconsin, May Funke of Illinois; and a brother - Charles (Mary Lou) Mehegan of Kentucky.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Denise Hanson in 2006, and 9 brothers and sisters.
