Sylvia Blank

Sylvia M. Blank, 96, passed away on February 24, 2008, in Bridgman, MI. She was born November 18, 1911.

Sylvia was one of the first women to attend the University of Detroit. As an accountant she worked for the Burroughs' Corporation and later joined the Accounting Department of Wayne State University where she held her job for 38 years. The last ten years also found her working with the University of Michigan, Extension Service. Sylvia retired in 1975, and moved from Dearborn to the Dearborn Towers in Clearwater, Florida.

Sylvia enjoyed traveling throughout the world. She was an avid card player especially in Bridge where she had earned Master points.
