Steven Douglas Gaul, 65 of Baroda, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy; Bridgman with Reverend Jim Whitman officiating. Friends may meet with the family 5-7 PM Friday, November 17, 2017. Burial will be in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given towards a Weko Beach Memorial Bench.

Steve was born October 20, 1952 in St. Joseph the son of the late Leo and Clara (Riske) Gaul. On July 24, 1976 he married Peggy Lee Davis. He was an operator at Fairmont Minerals in Bridgman for almost 30 years and retired in 2015. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the Stevensville Legion Post 568. Steve enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandkids.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years Peggy; his sons: Ryan Gaul and Shawn (Tara Arney) Gaul, daughter-in-law Jennifer Gaul, 6 grandchildren: Jake, Harley, Chase, Mackenzie, Forrest and Caden, a sister: Joyce (Jerry) Livengood, his father and mother-in-law: Lee and Dolores Davis.

He was also preceded in death by his sons, Dustin in 2002 and Eric in 2011.
