Steve Walter Sobralski, 78, of St. Joseph, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at his home. Cremation has taken place. A time to gather with family and friends for food and fellowship will be held Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 2 - 5 PM at Tryon School on the corner of John Beers Road and Scottdale Road in Royalton Township.
Steve was born on June 4, 1938 in Benton Harbor to the late Steve John and Ruth Freida (Hornus) Sobralski. On July 5, 1958 Steve married Carol Louise Zook. He was a member of Local 292 Iron Workers Union. Steve had a passion for building stock cars and racing.
Steve is survived by his wife of 58 years: Carol; children: Tammy (David) Blevins, Pamela (Darrell) Hendrixson, Deborah Crossley, Steven Sobralski, Mark (Deanna) Sobralski, Terri (Gary) Purser; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; siblings: Mary McGath, Richard (Vickie) Sobralski, Chuck Sobralski, and Paul (Pat) Sobralski.
Steve was also preceded in death by a son-in-law: Gregory Crossley; a great grandson: Cody Crossley-Bowerfind; and a brother: George “Mike” Sobralski.
