Stanley Schlipp

Stanley Neil Schlipp, 74, of Sawyer, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 19, 2011 at Lakeland Specialty Hospital, Berrien Center.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday, December 22, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5791 Sawyer Rd., Sawyer, with the Reverend Robert Bacerra officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday from 4-7 PM at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church.

Mr. Schlipp was born September 22, 1937 in Benton Harbor, the son of the late Adolph and Mary Jane (Luft) Schlipp. On July 17, 1959 he married his beloved wife, Virginia “Ginny” Dillon and she preceded him in death on January 3, 2006. Along with his wife and sons, Stanley owned and operated Schlipp’s Pharmacy in Sawyer since 1965. He was an avid golfer and a member of Chikaming Country Club.

Survivors include two sons – Darryl Schlipp and Daryn (Denise) Schlipp all of Sawyer; two grandsons – Derek and Aaron Schlipp; and one brother, James (Jeannie) Schlipp.
