Shirley Yvonne Klint, 96, of Sawyer, Michigan, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024. She was born on November 21, 1928, in Tokio, North Dakota, and grew up in Galesburg, Illinois.
Shirley joins her beloved husband, Carl Klint, in heaven. Together, they shared a wonderful marriage filled with love and cherished memories. She is survived by her children, Kristine Erickson (Dale), Karilyn Gagliardo (Ken), Carl "Skip" Klint Jr. (Mary), and Kenneth Klint (Ruth). She was the proud grandmother of twelve grandchildren, their spouses, a cherished great-grandmother to twenty-one great-grandchildren, and a beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, as well as relatives in Sweden.
Shirley was a godly woman who loved Jesus, her family, and friends. Her great smile and joy for life touched everyone who knew her. She was steadfast in her faith and always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Shirley graduated from Swedish Covenant Nursing School and dedicated her life to caring for others with compassion and love. She and Carl raised their family in Morton Grove, Illinois, where they built a home filled with love, laughter, many miles of adventures. They retired between Shorewood Hills, MI and Key Largo, FL.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
