Sharon Diane Hayward

Sharon Diane Hayward, 86 of Sawyer, formerly of Avon, SD, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Woodland Terrace of Bridgman.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Sawyer Highlands Church, 13100 Red Arrow Hwy, Sawyer. MI 49125. Friends may meet with the family from 10-11 AM on Wednesday at the church. There will also be a funeral service  11 AM Saturday, December 30, 2023 at First Baptist Church, 412 N. Main Street, Avon, SD 57315.  Friends may meet with the family from 10-11 AM on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Trinity Presbyterian Cemetery, Avon. Sharon was born November 14, 1937 in Buffalo Center, Iowa the daughter of the late Naaman and Esther (Crone) Seefeld. On September 2, 1960 she married Jerald Hayward and he preceded her in death in 2009.  Sharon was an RN at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD and member of First Baptist Church, Avon. She spent many years in children’s ministry with Child Evangelism Fellowship.

Survivors include her sons: Daniel (Suzanne) Hayward, John (Lindy) Hayward and Chad Hayward; eight grandchildren: Drew (Sarah Grace), Ethan (Julia), Will (Kennedy), Wesley, J.C., Rosie, David and Marcus Hayward; a great grandson: Leon; two sisters: Marilyn (Dallas) Coon and Carol (Dean) Dolphin; a brother: Roger Seefeld.
