Sharon Brueck

Sharon Kay Brueck, 76, of Baroda passed away on March 15, 2022 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4333 Cleveland Ave, Stevensville, MI 49127. Friends may meet with the family from 10 – 11 AM on Saturday at the church, prior to the service. Burial will be in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. Sharon was born on December 17, 1945 in Benton Harbor, the daughter of the late Henry and Wilma (Lemke) Hummel. On January 22, 1966 she married Robert Brueck and they shared 56 loving years. Together they owned and operated Frierdich Pattern Shop. Sharon was a very active member at Christ Lutheran Church and school for many years. She loved knitting, playing cards, and being with her family and friends. She also loved the lake, kayaking, and spending time at the cottage. She was known and loved as “Grannie” by many.

Survivors include her husband: Robert; daughter: Karen (William) Zielke; grandchildren: Joseph (Shelby) Zielke, Kyle Zielke, Jacob Brueck, Elijah Brueck, Madison Granzow, Morgan Granzow; great grandchildren: Mason Zielke and Kaiden Zielke; siblings: Sandra (Bill) Bonfoey and Barbara (Joe) Schulz; special friends: Al and Kathy Kasewurm and family; and many nieces and nephews.

Sharon was also preceded in death by her son: Steven Brueck; and siblings: Betty Appel and James Hummel.
