Scottie Richerson

Scottie Dale Richerson, 55, of Bridgman, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at his home.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 4 to 7 PM, Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Bridgman American Legion Post 331, 4241 Legion Street, Bridgman. Memorial contributions may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

Scottie was born May 26, 1959 in Marion, Illinois the son of Donald and Judith (Rainbolt) Richerson. On December 31, 1980 he married Patricia Marie Ulrath. Scottie served his country for over 20 years in the United States Army. Most recently in the 62nd Engineer A.D.M. He enjoyed coaching youth baseball and never met a stranger. He was a beloved community member and touched many lives.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Patricia; a son, Thomas (Elizabeth) Richerson of Arlington, VA and Nathaniel Richerson of Bridgman; a dear family friend, Kirk Beilman of Charlotte, NC; his mother, Judith; a sister, Susie (Larry) Poole and a brother, Steven Richerson all of Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

Scottie was preceded in death by his father, Donald Richerson.
