Russell Wayne

Russell Louis Wayne, 69, of Bridgman, MI passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at his home. Russell was cremated and there will be a military burial service at Fort Custer in Battle Creek, MI on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 1 PM. Friends may meet with the family Thursday, August 20 from 11 - 12 NOON at the Bridgman American Legion Post 331, 4241 Legion Court, Bridgman.

Russell was born on June 26, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Samuel and Mary (Katzeff) Wayne. Russell was in the Navy from 1965 - 1969. He enjoyed camping and going to football and baseball games to cheer on the grandsons. He called all the grandsons his “baseball team”.

Survivors include his wife Mary whom he married in 2003; children: Karl Wayne of Waterford, MI, and Renne Carmen of Keego Harbor, MI from his first marriage to Linda Wayne; grandsons: Zach, Dean, Jordan, Aidan, Ethan, Aidan and Ari. Survivors also include Mary’s daughter Amanda (Maurice Hine) Mastin and a brother: Myron (Susan) Wayne of Cincinnati, Ohio.
