Rose Bertha Gaul, 98, of Bridgman, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Lakeland Continuing Care Center in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Baroda, with Rev. Kenneth Babcock officiating. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman Burial will be in Ruggles Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Organ Fund.

Rose was born April 28, 1912 in Chicago the daughter of the late Alexander and Rose (Gast) Hora. She was married to Harry Schultz for 46 years until his death and then later married Leo Gaul sharing life together for 11 years until his death. Rose was a member of the choir at St. John’s Lutheran and sang for 70 years. She was also involved in the Miss Baroda Pageant and was herself Miss Baroda of 1930.

Survivors include two children – Delores (Phil) Lindt and Dennis (Millie) Schultz; two sisters - Agnes Pawlicke and Dorothy (Paul) Zielke; 8 grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.

Rose was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Mischke; a grandson, Michael Mischke and three brothers, Joseph, Arthur and Albert Hora.
