Ronald Krieger

Ronald Lynn Krieger, 80, of Sawyer passed away on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sawyer with Reverend Roberto Becerro officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family from 5 - 8 PM Wednesday at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church in Sawyer.

Ron was born July 15, 1931 in Sawyer, Michigan the son of the late Henry and Alma (Skibbe) Krieger. On December 1, 1956, he married Yvonne Potter and she preceded him in death on April 25, 2011. Ron enjoyed woodworking and doing work in his yard. He especially loved spoiling his granddaughter, Jalynn. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include three children – Kenneth (Ann) Krieger of Hubert, NC, Kay Krieger of Bridgman, Kerry (Shawna) Krieger of New Troy; one granddaughter - Jalynn; brothers Vernon Krieger, Michigan City, Melvin Krieger, Stevensville, Wayne (Blanche) Krieger, Sawyer, sisters Joyce (Larry)Dinges, Glendora and Nerma (Larry) Schmidt, Sawyer; sisters-in-law Vera Potter and Donna Potter, Galien. Ron was preceded in death by one son, Kevin, in 1994.
