Roger Henry Hingst, 83 of Bridgman passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at West Woods of Bridgman.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9650 N. Church Street, Bridgman, with Pastor Jon Bendewald officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family Tuesday at the church from 10 AM until the time of the service. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Roger was born April 18, 1932 in Bridgman the son of the late Henry and Minnie (Klemm) Hingst. He was a US Army veteran and a member of the Bridgman American Legion Post 331.

Survivors include three step children – Heinz Gellert of Bridgman, Doris (Chris Roebuck) Gellert of Bath, Michigan, and Linda (John) Shifflett of Catonsville, Maryland; one step grandson, Nathan Shifflett; sister – Joyce Decker of Tennessee and a brother - Warren (Susan) Hingst of Algoma, Wisconsin; also a dear friend Marlene Coyle of LaPorte.
