Robert Wycoff

Robert Lee Wycoff, 83, of New Troy passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman with Rev. Christopher Noffke officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family from 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to River Valley Senior Center.

Mr. Wycoff was born June 13, 1926 in Benton Harbor the son of the late Lester and Gertrude (Griffin) Wycoff. On July 8, 1950 he married the former Marcella R. Schmaltz and she preceded him in death on February 2, 2009. Bob worked for 18 years at Clark Equipment Co. in Buchanan and retired from Gast Manufacturing in Bridgman in 1988. He was a former Weesaw Township Firefighter and volunteered at River Valley Senior Center for many years. Bob was an avid hunter, fisherman, and card player. Among his many activities, Bob enjoyed tinkering in his garage.

Survivors include five children – Dawn (David) Woodward of Coloma, Lester (Brenda) Wycoff of Three Oaks, Tony (Sue) Wycoff of Niles, Annette (Dale, Sr.) Holloway of Niles, and Bonnie Jean Johnson of Coloma; seven grandchildren – Megan (Matthew) Quinn, Brandon Woodward, Andrew Wycoff, Ashley Wycoff, Dale Holloway, Jr., Michele (Scott) Harris, and Valerie (William) Stanton; seven great grandchildren – Kennedy Rose Holloway, Lauren, Jordan, and Austin Harris, Kassandra, Sabrina, and Carley Stanton; four brothers – John (Pat) Wycoff, Lloyd (Connie) Wycoff, Jerry Wycoff, and Larry (Diann) Wycoff; and two sisters – Edith (Harold) Lewis and Emma Sue (Al) Faultersack.

Bob was also preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Wycoff; one brother, Raymond Wycoff; and three sisters – Elizabeth West, Peg Cadwell, and Joyce Rochefort.
