Robert Kiel

Robert Eugene Kiel, 81, of Stevensville passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013 at Caretel Inns of Lakeland, St. Joseph.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 3, 2013 at 11 AM, at Pike Funeral Home, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman, with Father William Jacobs Jr. officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 10 - 11AM before the service on Friday. Burial will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery, Stevensville with Military Rites provided by the United States Navy. Memorial contributions may be made to Berrien County Cancer Service, 7301 Red Arrow Highway, Stevensville, MI 49127.

Robert was born February 24, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of the late Ervin A. and Elsie M. (Neumeister) Kiel. Robert married Marilyn Liskey on June 12, 1954 and they shared 58 years together. He retired from Whirlpool in 1994 after working 31 years as an analyst. Robert enjoyed woodworking and stained-glass, was an avid fisherman and a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife Marilyn; children - Kristie (Lance) Cortson of St. Joseph, Kevin (Denise) Kiel of Houston, Texas, Kregg (Julie Eades) Kiel of New Buffalo; grandchildren - Ann (Jeff) Ullig, Beth Cortson, Jennifer (David) Gutierrez, Alyson (Joey) Palazolo; great grandchildren - Stella and Holden Ullig and Kayden Palazolo; and a sister Shirley Gallo of Bridgman.
