Robert Glaske

Robert James Glaske, 67, of Sawyer passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011 in Iowa.

A private family gathering will be held at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Three Oaks. Bob was born July 31, 1944 in Benton Harbor the son of the late Leo and Margaret (Sonnenberg) Glaske. On May 29, 1970 he married Deborah Kay Steuer. He worked in the telephone industry and retired after 25 years. He enjoyed golf, hunting and was an avid football fan, especially the Michigan Wolverines. Bob was a US Army veteran and a member of the New Troy American Legion Post 518.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Deborah; two sisters - Carol (Larry) Styburski of Sawyer and Kathy (Gordon) Grams of Stevensville; two brothers - Richard (Irene) Glaske of Texas and Gary (Connie) Glaske of Sawyer; many nieces and nephews.
