Rita Scott

BRIDGMAN - Rita Jean Scott, 43, of Bridgman passed away on Friday, May 7, 2010 at her home in the care of her family.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 11 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman with Rusty Stark officiating. Burial will be in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. Friends may meet with the family from 5-9 PM Monday at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Lakeland Hospice or Benton Harbor Church of Christ.

Rita was born May 17, 1966 in Camden, Tennessee the daughter of the late Hoyt and Nancy (Shannon) Miller. On October 14, 1985 she married Samuel Scott. Rita’s greatest pleasure in life was loving and caring for family and friends; however, her heart was felt by all.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Samuel; four daughters - Shannon of Kalamazoo, Crystal of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Kathryn of Bridgman and Kaleigh of St. Joseph; three grandchildren - Jaylin, Carmen and Layla; her mother - Nancy (Bob) Curtis of New Johnsonville, TN, a sister - Robin (Shawn) McDowell of Camden, TN, two brothers - Jerry Miller and Tony (Alison) Curtis of Johnsonville, TN; and her in-laws - Samuel and Shirley Scott of Baroda.
