Richard Roush

Richard K. Roush, 64, of Bridgman went to be with his Lord on Monday, October 27, 2008 at his home

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, October 31 at Woodland Shores Baptist Church, Bridgman with Rev. John C. Bedford and Rev. Winston Decker officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family from 5-8 PM Thursday at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman and also an hour prior to the service on Friday at church. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Woodland Shores Baptist Church.

Dick was born October 22, 1944 in South Bend the son of Richard and Ruth (Hittle) Roush. On January 4, 1992 he married the former Judith Stevens-Steinbauer. He had worked for Kentron in Elkhart and retired in 2006 from Coachman Industries in Middlebury, Indiana. Dick was an active member of Woodland Shores Baptist Church – he went on several short-term missions trip, taught the Financial Peace University class, and most recently was Chairman of the Pastoral Search Committee. He loved walking, working in his yard and garden, and enjoyed listening to Gospel music.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Judith; five children – Dawn (Mark) Bluschke and Andrea (Nick) McNulty all of Tampa, Florida, Rich (Debbie) Steinbauer of Baroda, Pastor Bill (Venita) Steinbauer of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Kathy (Kurt) Hanke of Bridgman; nine grandchildren – Dylan Gonzales, Colin Bluschke, Megan Adams, Paige Steinbauer, Hayley Steinbauer, Kayla Steinbauer, Noel Steinbauer, Karl Hanke, and Kole Hanke; his parents – Richard and Ruth Roush of North Liberty, Indiana; a sister, Nancy (Bob) Beghtel of Walkerton, Indiana; and two brothers – David (Judy) Roush of Bremen, Indiana and Bill Roush of North Liberty, Indiana.

Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam Roush, in 1991.
