Raymond J. Duschek, 80, of Baroda passed away peacefully at home on March 1, 2011.
A Funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday, March 4, 2011 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman, with Pastor Clare Cardy officiating. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice at Home or Baroda Bible Church.
Raymond was born October 21, 1930 in Benton Harbor, MI, the son of the late Rudolph and Elizabeth Duschek. On May 21, 1955, he married Juanita Skala.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Juanita; his children - Dennis R. (Denise) Duschek of LaPorte, IN, Douglas A. Duschek of Stuart, FL, Pamela A. Duschek of Mishawaka, IN; two grandchildren - Nathan (Ashley) Duschek and, Aaron (Kelli) Duschek; three great grandchildren - Devon, Ava and Alexa; sisters - Alice Clem of Jackson, MI, Erma Hennes of St. Joseph, MI, Dorothy (Glenn) Schwolow of Berwyn, IL; brothers - Rudolph “Rudy” (Dorothy) Duschek of St. Joseph, MI, and Walter “Wally” (Connie) Duschek of Berrien Springs, MI.
Raymond was preceded in death by his daughter, Jodi Marie Duschek, August 10, 1969; brothers and sisters - Jeanette Lynch, Arthur Duschek, Arlene Wolter, and Bernard “Bernie” Duschek.
Raymond was an electrician at Whirlpool Corporation and retired after 44 years of service. He also loved the outdoors and worked part time as a farmer.
