Ralf Theodor Joachim

Ralf Theodor Joachim, 62, of Bridgman passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Corewell Health South in St. Joseph.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman, MI 49106. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Ralf was born on March 9, 1962 in St. Joseph, the son of Theodor and Lydia (Wappler) Joachim. On August 5, 1994 he married the former Debra Novotny. He worked in Tool and Die his entire career, most notably at Standard Tool & Die in Stevensville, for nearly 40 years. He enjoyed playing, coaching, and watching soccer, camping with his family, boating, and raising angelfish. Ralf enjoyed supporting his girls at all of their volleyball practices and games. He was a renowned grill master who was known for his steaks, ribs, and pulled pork. Ralf also loved playing Sequence, Euchre, and cornhole with friends and family. 

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Debra; two daughters: Taylor Joachim and Bailey Joachim; his parents, Theodor and Lydia Joachim; a sister, Rena (Don) Scharnowske; two nieces: Rachel and Monica Scharnowske; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ralf was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Jim and Jean Novotny.
