Phillip Andrew Ott, 58, of Gilbert, Arizona passed away on May 29, 2019, after fighting the last 15 months of his life with glioblastoma.
A memorial service will be held 2 PM Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9650 N. Church St., Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family from 1-2 PM Thursday prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Phillip was born July 24, 1960 in Benton Harbor, the son of Dorothy (Meyer) and the late Andrew Ott. He attended Immanuel Lutheran Elementary and graduated from Bridgman High School in 1978. He was an Allstate Basketball player and played football. He was an avid gun collector and really enjoyed going to the range with his daughter, Gabby.
He owned Top Gun Auto Painting in New Troy and Three Oaks. He later relocated to Gilbert Arizona in 2001. He was employed by B&E Appraisal and then was employed by Common Wealth Casualty as a consultant. Phil knew a lot about many things and was often the “go to” person when anyone had a question or needed help.
Survivors include his children: Joseph (Denise) and Andrew both of Chandler, AZ , Rachel (Eric) Romero and their children, Leland, Ellierae and Lianna, and Gabrielle both of Gilbert, AZ, and Jordyn (Varun) Maher of Phoenix; sisters Doran (Mike) Skibbe of Granger and Ellen (Walter) Yeske of Sawyer; several nieces and nephews and a beloved K9 companion, Beau.
The family is being assisted by Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman.
