Otto Wittwer

Biography

Otto George Wittwer, 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 10, 2010 at Jordan’s Life Care Center, Bridgman, MI.

Mr. Wittwer was born November 7, 1914 in Kiel, Germany the son of the late Julius and Anna Wittwer. On August 10, 1940 he married the former Helen Kampe and together they shared 62 years at the house in Portage, Indiana. Otto worked as a General Contractor in home construction.

Survivors include four children - Robert (Judy) Wittwer of California, Margaret (Richard) Sherwood of Texas, Shirley (Eddie) Henderson of Stevensville, MI., David (Tammy) Wittwer of Portage, IN.; 6 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.

Otto was also preceded in death by 2 children - Richard and Roger; 1 granddaughter - Jenny, and 1 brother - Julius.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 14, 2010 at 6:30 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Route 149, Portage, IN.
