Orville Conrad

Orville Conrad, 91, of Bridgman passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Jordan’s Life Care Center in Bridgman.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 11 AM at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman, with Pastor Darrel le Roux, officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 10 - 11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Orville was born December 8, 1920 in Gladwin County, Michigan, the son of the late Orville G. & Mildred (Carper) Conrad. Orville served with the US Army in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre during WWII. He retired from Dow Chemical in 1973. Orville married Jacquelyn L. Young on August 19, 1973 and they shared over 38 years together. He enjoyed photography and loved being out-of-doors.

Survivors include his wife Jacquelyn of Bridgman; children - Douglas (Bernadette) Conrad of Bay City, MI, Lowell (Donna) Conrad of OR, Connie (Gary) Glaske of Bridgman, Kathy (Jeff) Kalif of AL, Danny Livesay of Bridgman, Bruce (Robin) Livesay of Bridgman; sisters - Leaha Breault, Carol Hudson, Olive Misner, Joyce (Al) Risley, Roma (Jim) Forgie; 20 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.

Orville was also preceded in death by his sister Evelyn Bard.
