Odus West

Odus Benson West, 86 of Sawyer passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 in the care of his family.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman.  Friends may meet with the family on Thursday from 10-11 AM until the time of the service. Odus was born May 31, 1934 in Cleburne County, Arkansas, the son of the late Odus and Dollie (Sharp) West. On April 19, 1953 he married Elsie Viola Allender and she preceded him in death on December 23, 2018. Odus owned and operated West Sales and Service, but was really a jack of all trades. He enjoyed working on muscle cars, snowmobile racing, hunting and traveling.

Survivors include his son: Lowell West; grandchildren: Jennifer (Nathan)  Barz and Amber (Charles) Hayes; great grandson: Walker Barz.

Odus was also preceded in death by a brother, Jamie West and a sister June Davison.
