Norma Tillie Schulz, 90, of Baroda, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2011 at Woodland Terrace, Bridgman.

A grave site burial service will be held on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 10:00 AM, at the Lincoln Township Cemetery. A Celebration of Life memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stevensville, MI, where Norma was a member for over 50 years. Memorial donations can be made on her behalf either Lakeland Hospice, or the Stevensville American Legion Post #568 Ladies Auxiliary, where Norma was also a member for over 50 years.

Norma was born October 1, 1920 in Bridgman the daughter of the late Otto and Hulda (Yanke) Smikle and was a life long resident of Berrien County. She spent most of her working life as a self employed building contractor working along side of her late husband, Bill Schulz.

Survivors include an adopted son, Kenneth (Myrtle) of Florida; a daughter-in-law, Judy Stiteler (Ron) of Texas; grandsons John (Kyanne) Stiteler and Jake (Brienne) Stiteler and great grand children, Christopher John, Emery Sage and Cohen Patrick Stiteler. Also surviving are brothers Russell (Maria) Smikle and Otto Smikle; sister-in-law Esther Schulz, along with many nieces, nephews and special friends whose lives she enlightened without measure.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) Schulz, whom she married on June 4, 1938; sister Ruth (Smikle) Kessinger and brothers Herbert Smikle and Richard Smikle.
