Norma Jean Kolberg, 78, of Hartford passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman with Rev. David Schaller officiating. Burial will be in New Troy Cemetery, New Troy. Friends may meet with the family Tuesday from 5 - 8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Redeemer Lutheran Church, Sister Lakes.
Norma Jean was born September 24, 1933 in East Chicago, Indiana the daughter of the late William Robert and Nevada (Davis) Darnell. On July 22, 1954 she married Leonard A. Kolberg. Norma Jean worked at Bendix in South Bend for 30 years while living on the family owned dairy farm in Hartford.
Survivors include her husband of over 57 years - Leonard; her children - Vicki (Robert) Sloan of Watervliet, Debra O’Neal of Hartford, Leonard (Rita) Kolberg Jr. of Bangor, Ann (Brian) Larsen of Hagar Shores, Jimmy (Lisa) Kolberg of Lawrence; 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a sister - Joan Keefer of Buchanan.
Norma Jean was also preceded in death by a son-in-law - Rick O’Neal, an infant granddaughter, great granddaughter, and a brother - Bobby Darnell.
