Neal Forrester

Neal William Forrester, 91, of Baroda passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Jordan’s Life Care Center in Bridgman.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Baroda Church of God Lakeshore Campus, 5020 Cleveland Avenue, Stevensville, MI. with Reverend Kendall M. Holder officiating. Burial will be at Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 PM Wednesday at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice at Home.

Neal was born October 1, 1920 in Bono, Arkansas the son of the late Rolin C. and Rose May (Hinkle) Forrester. Neal married Vergie Marie Brenner on December 21, 1945 and shared over 66 years together. He is a veteran of the United States Army. Neal retired from Allied Signal in St.Joseph, MI and enjoyed tending his vegetable garden. He spent 20 winters fishing in Florida.

Survivors include his children - Neal (Bonnie) Forrester Jr. of Springfield, Oregon, Jacquelyn (Steve) Shaffer of Holly, Michigan, Judy (Neale) Weeks of Niles; 6 grandchildren - Carissa, Kami, Jim, Carole, Brad, Bryan; 7 great grandchildren; and a sister Emma (George) Walker of Benton Harbor.

Neal was also preceded in death by a brother - Roy Forrester, and two sisters Louise Trail and Dortha Howard.
