Nancy B. Gast

Nancy Brahlick Gast, 88, of Baroda passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the home of her loving husband of 22 years, William J. Gast.  

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, June 26 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9650 Church Street, Bridgman, MI 49106. Friends may meet with the family from 10 – 11 AM on Monday at the church, prior to the service. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.

Nancy was born on September 20, 1934 in South Bend, the daughter of the late Anton and Anna (Prainer) Brahlick. In September of 2000, she married William J. Gast. Nancy retired from Bayer Corp., in Elkhart, IN and was employed at I&M Electric Co., Notre Dame, and Real Services. She had many interests including art and playing in the Bell Choir at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She will be remembered for her quiet yet spunky spirit. Nancy practiced her faith through her actions in the way she lived her life. She was welcoming and accepting of all people. Nancy wanted the best for those she encountered and quoted as saying “everyone has their own feelings”.

Survivors include her husband: William Gast; her three children: Michael (Christine) Palmer, Ralph (Zsuzsanna) Palmer, and Karen Palmer; three step-children: Lee (Sara) Gast, Lisa (Chris) Connell and Lance (Elizabeth) Gast; 15 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; a sister: Vivian Dare and three nieces: Sherry Wilke, Pamela Lindquist, and Debbie Kohn.

Nancy was also preceded in death by her siblings: Dorothy Nagy and Anthony Brahlick.
