Myron Mielke

Myron “Bud” Vincent Mielke, 76, of Bridgman passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 from 10 AM - NOON at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman. Memorial contributions may be given to The Humane Society of SW Michigan, 641 S. Crystal, Benton Harbor, MI 49022.

Bud was born September 22, 1937 in Stevensville, the son of the late Carl and Julia (Bodjack) Mielke. Bud married JoAnne Taglia on January 4, 1964. Bud was a member of The National Guard. He worked at ANR Pipeline Co. for over 20 years and was employed at Siemans in Bridgman for 15 years.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, JoAnne; children - Joseph Mielke of Bridgman, John (Corrinne) Mielke of Wyoming, MI; granddaughter - Cora Mielke; brother - Tom (Kay) Mielke of South Haven, MI; sister - Jill Mielke of Stevensville and his brother-in-law: Paul Taglia of St. Joseph.

He is also preceded in death by a brother - William Mielke.
