Mildred Deloris Schultz, 72, of St.Joseph passed away on October 31, 2011 at Lakeland Continuing Care Center in St. Joseph.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday, November 4, 2011 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 9193 Cleveland Ave., Baroda with Reverend Bradley A. Ross officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6-8 PM at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman. Burial will be in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Mildred was born March 26, 1939 in Berrien Springs, MI the daughter of the late George L. and Ella M. (Thiede) Reitz. On August 18, 1972 she married Dennis Lee “Sam” Schultz. Millie was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Baroda and worked as a teacher at Trinity Lutheran in Berrien Springs and the Lakeshore Public Schools. Millie spent her years gardening, sewing, quilting, traveling and enjoying her friends and family. Her greatest joy in life was becoming a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband Sam; children - Heather (James) Fitzpatrick of White Lake, MI, Troy D. (Ann) Schultz of Paw Paw, MI; grandchildren - Ronan, Molly and Owen Fitzpatrick, Ariana, Braden and Carson Schultz.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister - Ruth Reitz Schrage.
