Mildred Barancin, 94, of Bridgman passed away on October 19, 2011 at Woodland Terrace in Bridgman.
A funeral service will be held 1 PM Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9650 Church Street, Bridgman with Reverend Jon Bendewald officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 4-6 PM at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Hospice at Home.
Mildred was born January 26, 1917 in Chicago the daughter of the late Matthew and Eva (Baca) Stancik. On October 1, 1938 she married John Barancin and he preceded her in death on February 20, 1992. Millie was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bridgman and worked at Pemco Die Casting for over 30 years
Survivors include her children - Karen (David) Oldenburg of Sawyer, Lester (Judy) Barancin of Richmond IN; and James (Sandra) Barancin of Manitou Beach MI; nine grandchildren - David M. “Mick”, Thomas, Chad and James Oldenburg, Michelle Dell’Isola, Rachel Roberts, Michael, Matthew and Courtney Barancin and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John; two brothers - John and Milton, and a sister Ann Stec.
