Maynette Nyberg

Maynette Anita Nyberg, 96, formerly of Sawyer, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Covenant Village of The Great Lakes in Grand Rapids, MI.

Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, August 25 at Harbert Community Church, 6444 Harbert Road, Harbert with Pastor Kyle J.A. Small officiating. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions may be given to Harbert Community Church, PO Box 197, Harbert, MI.

Maynette was born August 27, 1915 Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Rudolph and Matilda Olivia (Nelson) Sundelius. Maynette married Harry Nyberg April 19, 1941 and they enjoyed over 58 years of marriage until his death in 1999. She loved to cook and shared with her many church friends, family and neighbors.

Survivors include her daughter - Sandra (Leon) Sherburn of Berrien Springs; and her grandchildren - Lars, Amelia and Rebekah Sherburn.

Maynette was also preceded in death by her son, H. Bruce Nyberg in 2009 and her sister Marjorie Sundelius.
