Mary Lynne Mabry

Mary Lynne Mabry (Vern) was born in Sheepwash, United Kingdom on April 7, 1966.  She passed away tragically at her home on June 18, 2023.

 

Mary moved to Stevensville, Michigan  with her husband at that time (Stephen Mckenzie) and their three children in February of 1994. She never met a stranger, opened her heart to all and was known as "mum" to many of her children's friends.

 

Over the years, Mary had moved to Baroda and started a wonderful life with Dave Mabry, who is a fabulous step father to her children. They enjoyed their morning cruises, afternoon outings, and Sunday roasts with the family. Everyone in town knew her as "British Mary". Her smile, conversation and humor will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Mary is survived by her loving husband and best friend Dave Mabry, of over twenty years. She leaves behind her three children that she loved to the moon and back; Anita McKenzie (Weich), Natasha Smith (Nathan), and Alex McKenzie. 

 

Mary was a wonderful grandmother to six grandchildren with one on the way. She also leaves behind her mother, Brenda and step father Dale Frolich. Her siblings; Nik Vern, Debbie Turner, John Vern , Dale Frolich and half siblings Scott, Faye and Clarie. She was an amazing auntie to many nieces and nephews who adored her.

 

She is proceeded in death with her father Mike Vern and her grandparents, Queenie (Percy) Collins and John Manley. 

 

A Memorial Service will be held on July 18, 2023 at the Baroda American Legion, Post 345, 9214 First Street Baroda from 2pm-6pm. Please join us as we celebrate the life of our beloved Mary. We welcome you with open arms and would love to share memories together and have a drink on her behalf.
