Mary Lanphear

Mary Katherine Lanphear, 91, of Bridgman passed away on April 6, 2011 at Woodland Terrace in Bridgman.

A Funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday, April 11 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman with Reverend Christopher Noffke officiating. Friends may meet with the family prior to the service on Monday from 10 - 11 AM. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Mary was born July 4, 1919 in Connellsville, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late John and Mary (Nicholson) Leighliter. She loved helping her husband around the farm and spending the winters in Florida.

Survivors include her children - Frank (Nancy) Platteborze of Kalamazoo, Fred Platteborze of Arizona, Vernon Lanphear of Kalamazoo, Sandra (Donald) Cole of Eau Claire; 6 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, and 6 brothers and sisters - Clarence, John, Leona, Carrie, Nancy and Jane.
