Marjorie Metz

Marjorie Jean Metz, 84, of New Troy passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Friday, Sept. 13, 2013 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman, with Reverend Mary Schawl-Ranke officiating. Burial will be at New Troy Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family from 1 - 2 PM Friday at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorials may be given to Hospice at Home, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, MI 49085 or Friends of New Troy, 13372 California Road, New Troy, MI 49119.

Marjorie was born July 24, 1929 in Mitchell, South Dakota, the daughter of the late Ole and Esther (Rasmussen) Nepstad. Marjorie owned and operated her Beauty Shop in Harbert for over 15 years. She was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion of Bridgman Post 331.

Survivors include her son - Michael Metz of New Troy; grandchildren - Jennifer Metz of Kalamazoo, Carrie (Tony) Metz-Caporusso of New York, and David Metz of Brighton, MI.

Marjorie was also preceded in death by a son - David Metz and 3 sisters and 1 brother.
