Marilyn Jean Kiel, 92, of Stevensville passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Regency Hospital in East Chicago, Indiana.
A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman, MI 49106. The family will receive friends from 9-10 AM, prior to the service. Burial will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery, Stevensville. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.
Marilyn was born on July 23, 1932 in New Troy, the daughter of the late Robert and Cleo (Pletcher) Liskey. On June 12, 1954 she married Robert Kiel and he preceded her in death on April 29, 2013. She had been employed at Rimes Department Store in St. Joseph as a jewelry buyer. She made candles and sold them at a gift shop in Pentwater, MI and sold wine bottle lights and other items at area craft shows. She was an avid reader, enjoyed drinking Silver Beach wine and playing cards with her friends. Marilyn was an amazing mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved them all with her whole heart. She enjoyed traveling to Branson, MO and Progresso, TX each winter making new friends wherever she and Bob went.
Survivors include her children: Kristie (Lance) Cortson, Kevin (Denise) Kiel, and Kregg (Julie) Kiel; five granddaughters: Ann (Jeff) Ullig, Beth (Paul) Bell, Jennifer (David) Gutierrez, Alyson (Joey) Palazzolo, and Chloe Eades; and six great grandchildren: Stella Ullig, Kayden Palazzolo, Holden Ullig, Jackson Palazzolo, Audrey Gutierrez and Noah Gutierrez.
Marilyn was also preceded in death by four siblings: Doris Blaney, Robert Liskey, Shirley Miller and Marian Cutler.
Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman.
