Marie Hughes

Marie Teresa Hughes, 73 of Bridgman passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at West Woods of Bridgman with her family at her side following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease and cancer.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremations Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman, with Fr. Arthur Howard officiating. Friends may meet with the family on Friday from 10 - 11 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Marie was born February 15, 1943 in Chikaming Township the daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Tucek) Kotaska. Marie was loved by all who knew her, she was a loving mother and friend. Survivors include her children: Alfred Schimmel, Thomas Schimmel, Charles Schimmel, Trisha (Chris) Melcher and DeeAnna (Scott) Splese; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Kotaska.
