Margaret Forraht

Margaret Forraht, 94, of Bridgman, went to spend eternity with her Lord on Monday, January 21, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Mrs. Forraht was born May 12, 1913 in Bridgman the daughter of the late Herman and Minnie (Sorget) Gast. On May 6, 1933 she married Jake Forraht, the love of her life and had 71 blessed years together. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2004. Margaret was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bridgman where she served in many capacities. She had worked as a bookkeeper alongside her husband at the Sawyer Farms Exchange. She loved her family and made them her lifelong priority.

Survived By two daughters – Jacqueline (Raymond) Krieger of St. Joseph and Janet (Fred) Brecht of Stevensville; four grandchildren – Candy (Bart) Berndt, Tammy (Bob) Kohtz, Cindy (Tony) Olson, and Freddy Brecht; seven great grandchildren – Matthew, Ashley, Eric, Joshua, Meg, Hayley, and Kylie; a sister, Elsie Maranto of Bridgman; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death By six brothers and sisters.
