Mr. Hopkins was born February 4, 1926 in Benton Harbor the son of the late Charles and Emma (Evans) Hopkins, Sr. On March 8, 1947 he married the former Barbara E. Hopkins. Lyle was employed for 33 years at Whirlpool Corp., retiring in 1983. He and Barb spent winters in Bayside, Texas for 23 years. They belonged to the Friendship Club of Stevensville, and the St. Joseph and River Valley Senior Centers. Lyle enjoyed building houses and loved collecting antiques. He also enjoyed being with family, working outdoors, tinkering in the workshop, and playing on his front-end loader.
