Lester Reifschneider

Lester Elmer Reifschneider, 83, a lifelong resident of Baroda passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, March 30 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman. Burial will be in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. Friends may meet with the family Monday, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Lakeland Hospice.

Mr. Reifschneider was born January 7, 1927 in Baroda the son of the late Jacob and Amelia (Schlegel) Reifschneider. On October 11, 1947 he married Molly Brueck and together they shared 63 years. Lester was a lift truck operator and retired from Whirlpool in 1987 after 38 years of service. He enjoyed working his family farm where he raised produce.

Survivors include his wife, Molly; a daughter - Lynn Reifschneider of Holland and a son - Tom Reifschneider of Baroda; three grandchildren - Kathleen (Jerry) Munger, Nickolas Novotny and Ryan (Julie) Reifschneider; six great grandchildren - Alexandria Novotny, Cole and Jacob Munger, Ella, Kaylin and Liam Reifschneider.

Lester was also preceded in death by two brothers - Robert and Albert Reifschneider and 5 sisters - Mollie Radde, Helen Schmidt, Linda Burns, Ann Samuelson and Esther Reifschneider.
