Leroy Krieger

Leroy “Lee” Krieger, age 78, of White Cloud, formerly of Sawyer, passed away on November 4, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 8, 2010 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2010, from 2-5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Hospice and Palliative Care Services.

The son of the late Edward and Eva (Kugler) Krieger. Lee proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Bridgman American Legion. He loved the outdoors including hunting, fishing and hiking in the woods. After retiring he volunteered with Habitat for Humanity.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Lois; sons Chip (Carol) Krieger of Grand Rapids and Doug (Lisa) Krieger of Allegan; granddaughters “his girls” Jennifer (Cory) Juliano of Dayton, Ohio, Emily Krieger of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Rachel, Sarah and Hannah Krieger of Allegan; brother Darwin (Peg) Krieger; sisters, Betty VanHellen, Dorothea Crocker, Delores (Skip) Davis and Barbara (Carl) Franzon; sister-in-laws Jane Krieger, Betty (Ray) Sittig and Helen Wilson; brother-in-law Jack (Mona) Angolin and many nieces, nephews and other loved ones.

Lee was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Bud and Phyllis Krieger, brother Tom Krieger, brother-in-laws Oscar Crocker and Chuck VanHellen.
