Leo Joseph Cormier, 103, of Bridgman, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2008 at Woodland Terrace, Bridgman.
Leo was born July 24, 1904 in Caraquette, New Brunswick. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked in communications for Bell Telephone Systems, Western Electric Company and the U.S. Air Force.
In October 1949 he married the former Louise Zapantis and she preceded him in death on February 4, 1980
Leo loved to invent and problem-solve. He spent most of his free time working in his home shop building and creating. He loved to read and traveled extensively both in the U.S. and abroad. Leo touched the lives of many with his positive spirit and a quick sense of humor. The memory of his smile and friendly wave will continue to warm the hearts of all those who knew him for many years. His life served as a model for living not only long, but well.
