Lena Woods

Lena Lorraine Woods, 78, of Bridgman, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

Lena was cremated and a memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Baroda Bible Church, 9070 Third Street, Baroda.


Lena was born Saturday, November 18, 1939 in Marquand, Madison County, Missouri the daughter of the late Newton and Mable (Grisham) Starkey. On Saturday, July 20, 1957, Lena married Tommie Lee Woods and they shared over 56 years together. For years she worked at Adco and Hoffmann Tool as a supervisor in various departments. Lena was also an active member of The River Valley Senior Center. She loved her family, her friends, and above all loved her Lord.

Survivors include her granddaughter: Brandy (Ben) Resor; grandson: Shawn Woods; great grandson: Lincoln Resor; siblings: Clayton Starkey, and Zella Marler; brother - in - laws: John (Barbara) Woods, Richard (Renee) Woods; and many good friends.

Lena was also preceded in death by her husband: Tommie Lee Woods in December of 2013; her son: Randall Shane Woods in September of 2013; siblings: Clayburn Starky, Hazel Sullivan, and Clayton Starky.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
