Biography

Leadell June Brostoff, 89, of Bridgman passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at her home in the care of her family and a dear friend Marge Anderson.

A graveside service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, March 9, at Greenwood Cemetery, Bridgman, with Pastor Jon Bendewald officiating. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Berrien County Cancer Service or Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Leadell was born October 20, 1920 in Elkhart, Indiana the daughter of the late Edward and Ethel (Burke) Macholtz. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bridgman and enjoyed golfing at Pebblewood County Club, Bridgman.

Survivors include two sons, Robert (Debbie) Gitersonke and Mark (Rita) Gitersonke of both Bridgman; a daughter, Linda (Thomas) Kuker of Maryland; one sister, Beverly Schwanke of Charlotte, North Carolina, and five grandchildren: Hillary Kuker and Maxwell (Janet) Kuker both of Maryland, Joshua (Flavia) Gitersonke of California, Mark Gitersonke and Karly Gitersonke both Bridgman.
