Larry James Essig, 80, of Bridgman passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at his home.
He was born September 20, 1930 in St. Joseph, Michigan, the son of the late August and Ann (Botham) Essig. Larry was very proud to serve his country. He was drafted into the US Army and soon enlisted in the Air Force. After 24 years he retired as a Master Sergeant having served in the military during the Vietnam and Korean Conflicts. After Larry’s years in the Air Force, he has resided in Bridgman the last 34 years.
Survivors include his two sisters – Sally Essig-Dunn and Vicki (William) Hudec; a niece - Angelique Hudec; two nephews - Michael (Lisa) and Timothy Hudec; three great nieces and two great nephews.
