Kim Marie McConnell

Kim Marie McConnell, 62, of Niles passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Corewell Health South.

A memorial service will be held 11 AM on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Lake Michigan Christian Center, 9955 Church St., Bridgman. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, February 22, at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to Lake Michigan Christian Center. Kim was born on July 19, 1961 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and raised in the home of Jack and Betty Miller, born the daughter of Wilbur Shank and Betty (Lee) Miller. On September 29, 1979 she married Terry McConnell. She was a member at Lake Michigan Christian Center in Bridgman where she was the office administrator.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Terry; three children: John McConnell, Jennifer (Gabriel Hayford) McConnell, and Jason (Nikkole) McConnell; daughter-in-law, Sarah Doctor; ten grandchildren; her father, Wilbur Shank; and four sisters: Cheri (Tom) Sawyer, Teresa (Jay) Firstien, Suzzette (Bill) Berghoff, and Helen (Jeff) Hutchins.

Kim was preceded in death by her son, Brent Doctor; sister, Kathy; and her parents, Jack and Betty.

Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman.
